7.3. Battery Installation/Replacement
1. On the back of the remote use your thumb nail or a coin to remove the battery cover and gain
access to the battery compartment.
2. Be sure to correctly install the batteries in the proper orientation as indicated on the inside back
panel of the battery compartment.

8.1.
Cover and Housing Cleaning
8.1.1. Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.
8.1.2. Clean the unit only when necessary. If the unit is used in a dirty environment it may need
cleaning more frequently.
8.1.3. Wipe the dirt with a slightly moistened cloth.
8.1.4. Only use water or neutral cleaning agents on the housing. Other cleaners may damage
the finish.

Caution:
Never expose the housing to harsh cleansers. Carefully remove/replace the front
cover or the parts may be damaged.
8.2. Sensor Cleaning
8.2.1. To remove built up dust from blocking the sensor air inlets use a vacuum cleaner with a soft
brush attached and gently wipe across sensor openings.
8.2.2. DO NOT use compressed air to blow out dust as this may damage the sensors.
8.3. Filter Cleaning
To ensure optimal operation of you unit, you should clean the filters on a regular
basis to remove built-up contaminants and provide proper air flow.
8.3.1. Prefilter – First vacuum off loose dust and then hand wash in sink using mild detergent
(hand or dish soap), rinse thoroughly and lay flat or hang to dry. DO NOT machine wash.
Prefilter should be cleaned every 3 months and replaced after 1 year*.
8.3.2. HEPA/Carbon Filter – with prefilter removed use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush
attached and gently wipe across filter surface. HEPA/Carbon filter should be cleaned every
3-6 months and replaced after 1 year*..
8.4. Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp Cleaning
To remove built-up dust from UV Lamps use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached and
gently wipe across lamps. UV lamps should be cleaned every 3-6 months and replaced after 1
year*
8.5. Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber Cleaning
To clean the Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached
