5.4 UPnP Settings
UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is a protocol that provides automatic port
forwarding, eliminating the need for complex router port forwarding configuration.
Note: Your router must support UPnP for this function to work.
Make sure the UPnP function is enabled in your router’s configuration settings.
Then on your recording device go to “Main Menu”
-> “Network” -> “UPnP”.
The UPnP settings are displayed as shown below (may vary depending on device).
Click the Enable button at the top of window (this button may be labeled as “PAT”).
Only select the check boxes of “HTTP/TCP/80/80” and “TCP/TCP/37777/37777” as
shown above, then click “Apply”. The “Status” field near the top should change to
“Success”, and the LAN IP and WAN IP will be displayed.
To modify the protocol, internal port, or external port of one of these entries, you
will need to double click on an item in the list. This will open the “Port Info” window.
