12 Lower the patient security grip and side guard. Put the 

headrest in place and raise the backrest to a comfortable 
height for the patient. Let the patient put his/her hands on 
the patient security grip.

it away from the bed.

Lower the stretcher to a comfortable height for the 
caregiver. Hold the transfer handles during the transfer.

17 After transferring the patient, always ensure he/she is in a 

correct sitting position.

To avoid entrapment, make sure to keep the 
patient’s hair, arms and feet close to the body 
and use designated grab supports during any 
movement.

To avoid the device in use from tipping, do not 
raise or lower other equipment close to it and be 
aware of stationary object when lowering.
