Emergency Lowering

•

•

If an electrical failure occurs to the hand control, the chair can
be lowered with the press of a button. The emergency lowering
button is located under the lifting unit.

(See Fig. 1)

Remove the orange plug.

Press the emergency lowering button with your finger.

Automatic Safety Stop

When a surrounding object stops the raising or lowering of the

Carino

, the automatic safety stop function will activate and

stop the chair movement. Move the chair or the obstruction and

continue raising or lowering.

CAUTION
Stop pressing the emergency lowering button when
the hygiene chair stops. By continuing to press the
button it will feed the lifting strap backwards and
the button operation will become reversed.
Contact an ArjoHuntleigh service technician if this
occurs.

WARNING

To avoid injury, only use the emergency lowering
when normal lowering is impossible. Use extreme
care during lowering.

NOTE

The emergency lowering overrides important safety
functions and should only be used when the hand
control is not working.
