The LGMAT/13 transfer mattress is designed to allow patients to be moved easily and with minimal
discomfort from a Lifeguard
® trolley to an adjacent surface.
The mattress is supplied in two parts; the lower section is secured to the trolley and the upper section

Fitting
7KRURXJKO\FOHDQWKHWRSVXUIDFHRIWKHPDWWUHVVSODWIRUPZLWKDVXLWDEOHYRODWLOHGHJUHDVLQJVROYHQW
e.g. methylated spirits or isopropyl alcohol. Allow it to dry completely.
Turn the lower mattress section over and remove the backing tape from the two strips of hook and
loop tape to expose the self-adhesive surface; do not separate the hook and loop tape at this stage.
Position the lower mattress section on the

secure the self-adhesive hook and loop tape
strips to the trolley.
Place the upper mattress section on the lower
mattress section with the blue sliding surfaces
together.

size, age and condition of the patient before any movement is
attempted.
The transfer area should be free from any condition or
obstruction that could be hazardous during patient transfer.
