Check for obstructions in the area where roof air conditioner will be installed.
The roof must be designed to support 60KG when the vehicle is in motion.
Normally a 100KG static load design will meet this requirement.
Check inside the vehicle for air distribution box obstructions(i.e. door openings,
room dividers, curtains, ceiling fixtures, etc.). Please check the dimentions of the
roof air conditioner and the air distribution box. See FIG.03.
It is preferred that the unit be installed on a relatively flat and level roof section
measured with the vehicle parked on a level surface, but up to a 5° tilt is
acceptable.
After location has been selected:
It is the responsibility of the designer to ensure the structural integrity of the
vehicle. Never create a low spot on the roof where water will collect. Water
standing around the roof air conditioner may leak into the interior causing
damage to the product and vehicle.
