3.4. COOLING

3.4.1.

REMOVING THE WATER PUMP

•

In the event of noise at the bearings or oil leaks at the
cover inner drain hole, overhaul water pump.

•

Remove flywheel cover (1) with water pump from en-
gine.

•

Undo the three fasteners (3) and remove rotor cover
(2).

•

Position flywheel cover on ring base

NOTE

To avoid damage to the cover surface used to the

coolant-sealing surface of the cover, position the ring bases
with its machined surface facing the flywheel cover.

•

Use a press and the drift (B) of tool 8140663 to push
the shaft and rotor out of the drive and bearings.

•

Remove the shaft washer.

•

Remove the drive.
