4. Go to the section for Port Locking.
5. Click the button for Lock Port to turn on Port Locking.
6. Select the radio button for the locking operation to perform:
• Lock Time: Indefinite
• Lock time:
•
days:
Up to a maximum of 500 days
•
hours:
Up to a maximum of 23 hours
•
minutes:
Up to a maximum of 59 minutes
7. (Optional) Type a message that other users can view (such as the duration, reason for the
lock, or contact information if anyone has questions). The message length is restricted to
a total of 99 characters.
8. Click
Save
. The selected ports are locked for the duration specified.
9. A Lock icon displays on the blade for a port or disk drive. In addition, hovering the cursor
over the port displays the name of the person who locked the port, as well as any time
constraints and message entered.

To unlock a port:
1. Go to W
EB
XR and click the soft arrow for the Global View icon. From the pop-up menu,
select Ports.
2. On the Ports page, select a port and click the soft arrow.
NOTE
Remember, if “Disconnect on Expire” is set for Port Locking, then any connections
then disconnect when the lock expires.
