Chapter 3 Specifications

SFP ports and transceivers supported

The

Bypass TAP

offers 5 ports of full-duplex 1/10Gbps Fiber Ethernet and four 1/10G Fiber

Ethernet ports. Line rates are as follows:

• The block of five (5) segments of 1/10Gbps bypass ports which may be set to either

1G or 10G line rate.

• Ports A06 through A09, Appliance or data ports, may also be individually set to 1G or

10G line rate.

Supported SFP+ modules

The Bypass TAP supports the following modules:

• 1000BASE-LX or 1000BASE-SX 1G Ethernet SFP
• 10GBASE-LR or 10GBASE-SR 10G Ethernet SFP+

Supported SFP+ transceivers

The Bypass TAP supports the following Single-Mode and Multi-Mode transceivers:
•

1/10G SFP

(Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceivers:

• ACI-0201-199-R (Multi-Mode SFP+)
• ACI-0201-200-R (Single-Mode SFP+)

NOTE

If earlier revisions of blades are installed in the chassis, then on occasion

some errors in rebooting may be observed. The workaround is to again

reboot.

The port designation is preceded by the blade position; for example, if the

blade is in Slot A in the chassis, the ports are labeled A1N1A1A1,

A1N2A1A2, A2N1A2A1, A2N2A2A2, etc.

NOTE

Transceivers shipped in APCON products are Class 1 laser products. Manufacturer

specifications state that these transceivers comply with regulations and are

certified to meet the Class 1 eye safety requirements of EN (IEC) 60825 and

electrical safety requirements of EN (IEC) 60950.
