If the test frequencies are from 10 MHz to 5 GHz:

. This selects the direct measurement into the E5052B.

and confirm it is OFF.
If the test frequencies are from > 5 GHz to 25 GHz:

confirm it is ON.

If the test frequencies are from 10 MHz to 40 MHz, press

If the test frequencies are from 39 MHz to 101 MHz, press
39M - 101MHz

If the test frequencies are from 99 MHz to 1.5 GHz, press
99M - 1.5GHz
.
d.
If the test frequencies are from 250 MHz to 5 GHz, press
250M - 7GHz
.
e.
If the test frequencies are from > 5 GHz to 10 GHz (requires that downconverter is on and is
the selected input), press
3G - 10GHz
.
f.
If the test frequencies are from 9 GHz to 26.5 GHz (requires that downconverter is on and is
the selected input), press
9G - 26.5GHz
.
7.
Set
IF Gain
to:
a.
50 dB if the MG3702xA CW frequency < 5 GHz.
b.
20 dB if the MG3702xA CW frequency
5GHz.

Press
Nominal Frequency
and enter the test frequency from the test record.
This is not performed in some cases.

a.
Set to 0 dB if DUT CW frequency is less than 5 GHz.
b.
Set to 10 dB if DUT CW frequency is greater than or equal to 5 GHz.

At the upper right of the screen the E5052B should have the approximate test frequency
displayed as shown in

There are different bands in the E5052B that need to be manually set as described in the next steps.
