9.4 P05 – (Sauté) Chickpea Curry
1 400g tin chickpeas, drained
1 onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, sliced
1 carrot, large dice
115g yellow/red curry paste
200ml coconut cream
300ml water
2tsp fish sauce/soy sauce
1tbsp lime juice
2tsp palm sugar/agave syrup
Salt - to taste
Garnish coriander leaves
1. Attach Chopping Blade
2. Place all ingredients into cooking jar and then select SAUTE (program 05)
3. If not already set, adjust the settings to the following:
Temperature: 100°C, Speed: 1, Time: 30 Minutes
4. Start program
5. Adjust seasoning at end of cooking
6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or roti bread
*This curry has a similar consistency to a daal
9.5 P06 – (Stew) Beef and Potato Stew
1 brown onion, peeled and chopped
1 garlic clove, peeled and chopped
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
1tbsp tomato paste
1tbsp thyme, picked
1tbsp sweet paprika
50ml red wine
250ml beef stock
500g beef (chuck or rump), cubed
1 large potato, peeled and cubed
Salt
1. Place all ingredients in the jar then select STEW (program 06)
2. Adjust time to cook for 1.5 hours
3. Start Program
4. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving
9.6 P07 – (Steam) Steamed Chicken
1 - 4 chicken breasts, skinless
1. Lightly grease the bottom tray of the steamer, then place the chicken breasts in a single
layer.
2. Place steamer lid on top
3. Add 1 litre of cool water to the cooking jar, assemble the jar lid without the measuring cup,
then place the assembled steamer on top of the jar lid.
5. Select STEAM (program 07)
6. Adjust the cooking time to 30 minutes
7. Start Program
*this is based on an average sized chicken breast (150g), adjust cooking time accordingly
