To carry out this operation, proceed as follows.
1)
Operate the appliance’s master switch to con-
nect it to the electrical mains.
2)
Turn the knob

on the plate’s internal heating element at the
minimum setting.
3)
Turn the knob

to one of the other settings,
to reduce the heating element power to the
level required.
4)
If necessary, turn the knob

anti-clockwise
(pos.

) to turn on the external heating ele-
ment. When released, the knob returns to the

setting.
5)
Turn the knob
(A)
to one of the other settings,
to reduce the heating element power to the
level required.
Important
The power level indicator only refers to the
internal heating element.
Turning off

Turn the knob

to setting

to switch off the
heating elements.
2)
Turn off the appliance’s circuit breaker to dis-
connect it from the electrical mains.

SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE ON AND OFF
LENGTHY DOWNTIMES OF APPLIANCE
If the appliance is to be out of use for a lengthy
period, proceed as follows.
1)
Cut off the mains electricity supply using the
appliance’s master switch.
2)
Clean the appliance and the surrounding areas
thoroughly.
3)
Spread a fi lm of edible oil over the stainless
steel surfaces.
4)
Carry out all the servicing procedures.
5)
Cover the appliance and leave a few gaps to
allow air to circulate.
