Use of the
The user and maintenance manual is a document supplied with the equipment from the moment it is
manual
manufactured to the moment it is destroyed. Thus, it is an integral part of the equipment.
It is necessary to read the manual before starting ANY OPERATION (including its handling) on the
equipment.
Symbols used
The operations which may involve risks, if not carried out properly, are indicated with the symbol:
The descriptions indicated beside these symbols are solely referred to equipment in compliance with
Directive “ATEX” 94/9/EC.
All operations referred to these symbols must be carried out by qualified personnel having specific
skills on safety issues concerning areas with potentially explosive atmospheres.
All the information described may jeopardize the environment as well as the safety of people if not
complied with.
In order to avoid possible risks, all operations – which need to be carried out by qualified or skilled
personnel – are indicated by the symbol.
It is recommended to provide training for all equipment operators and to make sure that all the infor-
mation supplied has been understood and implemented.
