6.1
General notes
-
Observe the routine inspection and maintenance schedule to ensure suitable operating conditions
and the effective explosion protection of the unit.
-
Before servicing or repairing internal components, allow the unit to cool down completely before
opening it so as to avoid burns from parts which are still hot.
-
On completion of maintenance work, make sure that all safety measures have been restored and
reset properly.
-
Clean the unit thoroughly after maintenance work and repairs.
-
Use only original spare parts for repairs.
In order to have durable equipment, proper maintenance should be carried out. This will ensure good
working conditions and efficiency as well as functional safety as time goes by.
All maintenance operations must be carried out by qualified staff. The multi spray design and the
materials used to manufacture it limit all maintenance operations to a simple periodic cleaning.
The staff must be provided with body protection equipment, which is generally used for similar opera-
tions. The staff must also follow the safety rules described in the following paragraph.
