Technical Description
4.1.4 Front Doors
Front doors are provided to protect operating personnel from exposure to samples,
chemicals or other involved substances.
Each front door consists of transparent perspex view panels in order to allow running
processes to be visually tracked or monitored. Another purpose of the front doors is to
prevent manual intervention into the range of system motion.
All currently running motion will stop if a front door is opened.
Originally triggered motion will be resumed – in all standard cases –, once the front
door has been closed again.
4.2 System Versions
Of compact engineering design, the InnuPure
®
C96 has been developed to perform
specific automated isolation of nucleic acids using magnetic particles in a 96-well
microplate format (according to the SBS standard).
The system’s compactness makes it possible to pipette process liquids in a volume range
of 10 μ l – 1000 μ l per pipette tip. Its working area is completely enclosed.
An integrated linear transporting unit (carriage with two placement positions) moves a
given microplate in X-direction from a given stacker shaft to the pipetting head and back
again.
Located below the linear transporting unit (at pipetting head height level) is a heating
magnet module capable of performing motion in Z-direction so it can be brought into
position below a microplate.



System version with barcode reader*
Optionally, a barcode reader can be installed on the right-hand front side for
automated recording of the barcode of microplates in a data base.
System version with HEPA filter*
Optionally, the system can be equipped with a HEPA filter.
