Purpose of This Manual

ADSP-21262 EZ-KIT Lite Evaluation System Manual

Additionally, the EZ-KIT Lite board provides access to all of the proces-
sor’s peripheral ports. Access is provided in the form of a three-connector
expansion interface. See

“Expansion Interface” on page 3-7

for details.

Purpose of This Manual

The

ADSP-21262 EZ-KIT Lite Evaluation System Manual

provides

instructions for using the hardware and installing the software on your
PC. The text includes guidelines for running your own code on the
ADSP-21262 EZ-KIT Lite. The manual also describes the board’s config-
uration and components. Finally, a schematic and a bill of materials are
provided as a reference for future ADSP-21262 board designs.

Intended Audience

This manual is a user’s guide and reference to the ADSP-21262 EZ-KIT
Lite evaluation system. Programmers who are familiar with the Analog
Devices SHARC processor architecture, operation, and programming are
the primary audience for this manual.

Programmers who are unfamiliar with Analog Devices SHARC processors
can use this manual in conjunction with the

ADSP-2126x SHARC Core

Reference

and

ADSP-21262/21266 Peripherals Manual

and the

ADSP-21160 SHARC DSP Instruction Set Reference

, which describe the

DSP’a architecture and instruction set. Programmers who are unfamiliar
