AXB-TMC-TMX+ Television Managers
Troubleshooting Guide (Cont.)
Problem
Resolution
AXB-TMC/TMX+ does not
always turn on the
TV/projector.
The AXB-TMC/TMX+ does output IR pulses, but the TV/projector does not
always respond. In this case, the PTON pulse is too short. Extend the PTON
pulse by entering the following via the terminal mode:
>CHANGE PTON 10 71
The following response will be received from the Master Controller:
>Change PTON to 10, First TM=71, Last TM=71
Where 10 is the length in tenths of seconds (1.0 second) and 71 is the device
number.
When using this command and the other change commands, you cannot back-
space while entering the message. You may also need to type 'MESSAGES
ON' before entering the above command to get the positive response. If you
enter 'MESSAGES ON', you must always enter 'MESSAGES OFF' after
completing your testing, to ensure optimum performance.
All Change_Commands are available only with Synergy Axcess code.
Message ON and OFF are also valid only for Synergy installations.
AXB-TMC/TMX+ receives
two digits within each single
digit of a channel change.
The CTON pulse may be too long or the IR signal is too strong. Before adjust-
ing the IR signal strength, try adjusting the CTON pulse by sending the follow-
ing message while in the terminal mode:
>CHANGE CTON 3 71
The Master Controller should respond with the following:
>Change CTON to 3, First TM=71, Last TM=71
Where 3 is the pulse length in tenths of seconds (0.3 seconds) and 71 is the
device number. Refer to the
IR Signal Attenuation (CC-IRC) Adjustment
subsection of this manual.
AXB-TMC/TMX+ receives
only one digit whenever a
two-digit channel command is
issued.
The CTOF time may be too short. Use the following command to extend the off
time in between two pulses.
>CHANGE CTOF 10 71
The Master Controller should respond with the following:
>Change CTOF to 10, First TM=71, Last TM=71
Where 10 is the off time in tenths of seconds (1.0 seconds) and 71 is the
device number.
AXB-TMC/TMX+ receives
two digits but treats each as
an individual channel com-
mand.
The CTOF time may be too long. Use the following command to shorten the off
time in between digits:
>CHANGE CTOF 3 71
The Master Controller should respond with the following:
>Change CTOF to 3, First TM=71, Last TM=71
Where 3 is the off time in tenths of seconds (0.3 seconds) and 71 is the device
number.
When using this command and other change commands, you cannot back-
space while entering the message. You may need to type 'MESSAGES ON'
before entering the above command to get the positive response. If you enter
'MESSAGES ON', you must always enter 'MESSAGES OFF' after completing
your testing, to ensure optimum performance.
