Quick Setup Guide
DIGIALERT EVENT MANAGEMENT
NOTE: You must have a modem connection and the IP address of your PC to
install and operate DigiAlert. See
on page 7 and the
DigiClient
User’s Manual
for more information.
Installing DigiAlert on your PC
1. On your PC, start your web browser and enter the DigiMux unit’s IP Address in the
Address field.
NOTE: Do not enter leading 0 characters. For example, 050.244.060.002
is entered 50.244.60.2.
2. If you are downloading DigiClient, then click the
Download DigiAlert
box and
click
Accept
to accept the License Agreement.
3. When the File Download box is displayed, click
Open
to download DigiAlert. The
DigiAlert installer is then displayed.
4. Click
Next
for each screen and then click
Install
. DigiAlert is installed during the
next few minutes.
5. When the installation is successful, the Installer displays a final screen.Click
Finish
to complete the installation.
DigiAlert Setup on DigiMux
1. Setup on the DigiMux depends on whether you have a LAN Internet connection, or
a Dial In/Out Modem connection. Follow the Setup information in
for
information on how to set up a connection.
2. See your System Administrator or use the
ipconfig /all
command on the DOS
command line to determine your PC’s IP Address.
NOTE: If you are using a DHCP connection and you shut off the PC, your IP
address may change. It is best to set up DigiAlert on a PC with a
static IP Address. If you are using DHCP, regularly check your IP
Address.
