Control Change messages are sent with status 0xBn, where n is the channel for the specified
CC controller. Thus, the controller MIDI ID is indicated with the channel along with the CC
number. The value ranges from 0x40 to indicate the change in the controller. This is an offset
to 0x40 “one’s complement” notation. A message with data 0x43 indicates a positive change
of 3. A messages with data 0x31 indicates a negative change of 15.
