1.2.3.1 Design data
The construction stage set as
Reference construction stage
in the settings is used to read the
design data from. The design data (theoretical profiles, theoretical sections, transverse slope,
block information) of this construction stage is used for all the calculations.
1.2.3.2 Line scan analyses
In a point cloud analysis of type
Line scan
, the user can select one or multiple construction
stages to analyse the measured point clouds.
1.2.3.3 Blasting round scan analyses
In an analysis of type
Blasting round scan
, the user can select one or multiple construction
stages to analyse the measured point clouds. The measured point clouds of different excava-
tion steps can be automatically merged together without any manually masking of the data.
Only the relevant parts of the scan will be used to create the model. The result will be a com-
plete measured model of the tunnel from different scans.
1.2.3.4 Layer thickness analyses
The user can select a construction stage as
Original construction stage
. The measured point
clouds of this construction stage will be used as original point cloud for deviation calculation.
Furthermore, the user can select a second construction stage as
Comparison construction
stage
. The measurements of this construction stage will be calculated against the one of the
original construction stage to derive deviation values.
1.2.3.5 Undulation analysis
The analysis type
Undulation
is made for a evenness control of the tunnel surface. The user
can select one or multiple construction stages to analyse the measured point clouds. The mea-
sured point clouds will be used for evenness calculation of the tunnel surface. This analysis
is used for quality cheeks of the shotcrete before the membrane system for waterproofing will
be applied in the tunnel.
1.2.4 Calculations
1.2.4.1 Deviation
The deviation value represents a distance to a 3D model. The distance is calculated on a
straight line perpendicular to the theoretical model of the reference construction stage. It starts
from the measured point and ends at the intersection with the theoretical model.
1.2.4.2 Under-/overprofile area
The under-/overprofile area is calculated by intersecting the current profile either with the the-
oretical profile (for analysis type measured vs. design) or with the profile of the original con-
struction stage (for analysis type measured vs. measured). All areas that are outside of the
profile, are summed up to a total over profile area value. All areas that are inside of the profile,
are summed up to a total underprofile area value.
1.2.4.3 Over- / under profile volume
The under-/overprofile volume is calculated by multiplying under-/overprofile area values of a
measured profile with the stationing difference to the next one.
