2.16.3 Electrical
system
When working on the electrical system, always disconnect the
battery (negative terminal).
Only use the specified fuses. If fuses are used with too high a
voltage, the electrical system will be destroyed – fire hazard.
Ensure that the battery is connected properly - firstly connect the
positive terminal and then connect the negative terminal. When
disconnecting the battery, disconnect the negative terminal first,
followed by the positive terminal.
Always place the appropriate cover over the positive battery
terminal. Contact with the ground may cause an explosion.
Explosion hazard: avoid the production of sparks or the
presence of flames in the vicinity of the battery.
The implement can be equipped with electronic components, the
function of which may be influenced by electromagnetic
interference from other units. Such interference can pose risks to
people, if the following safety information is not followed:
When retrofitting electrical units, components on the
implement and/or a connection to the onboard power
supply, the user must check whether the installation might
cause faults on the vehicle electronics or other
components.
Ensure that the retrofitted electrical and electronic
components comply with the EMC directive 2004/108/EEC
in the appropriate version and carry the CE label.
2.16.4 Attached
implements
Comply with the approved combination options for attached
equipment on the tractor and the implement drawbar.
Only connect approved combinations of implement (tractor and
attached implement).
In the case of single axle machinery, observe the maximum
permitted drawbar load of the tractor on the attachment
equipment.
Ensure that the tractor has sufficient steering and braking power.
Implements connected to a tractor can influence your driving
performance, as well as the steering and braking power of the
tractor, in particular in the case of single axle implements with
the drawbar load on the tractor.
Only a specialist workshop may adjust the height of the drawbar
on yoke bars with a drawbar load.
