• Insert the black connector lead (L) into the

input jack (E).
• Insert the red connector lead (L) into the

• Place the test probes (L) across the diode
being measured.
• If the diode was measured in reverse, the

position to get the correct polarity.
NOTICE
Forward voltage typically indicates
400 to 700 mV. A shorted diode indicates near 0 V
and an open diode indicates

in both polarities.
Continuity check
WARNING

or wires that have voltage on them.
• Set the function switch (C) to
the
position.
• Insert the black connector lead (L) into the

input jack (E).
• Insert the red connector lead (L) into the
V/Ω/mA
input jack (G).
• Place the test probes (L) across the circuit or
component under test.
