Making a reservation on the DHCP server
If a DHCP server is present within the network, the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML can obtain an IP address from
the DHCP server. The AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML can also operate with a fixed IP address, this is advisable if
the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML must be reached remotely. When using a fixed IP address it is best set an IP
address for the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML outside the distribution range of a DHCP server. The distribution
range can be read from the DHCP configuration screen:
