DIPSWITCH settings of the PSTN2IP ML
The functionality of the PSTN-2-IP transceiver is partially determined by the settings of the dipswitches.
The meaning of each dipswitch setting is as follows:

ON
When dipswitch is ON and the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML is
powered up the factory defaults will be programmed.

OFF
„Normal mode‟. The programmed web server and Ethernet settings
will be sued.
When accessing the programming, a username and login-code is
required.
Programming via a DTMF-telephone is not possible.
ON
The default web server and Ethernet settings are used instead of
the programmed settings. The programmed settings will not be
erased but is a temporary setting.
When accessing the programming, the default username (admin)
can be used, a password is not required. The AlphaCom PSTN2IP
ML is accessible via IP address 192.168.0.48 and web server port
80.
Programming via a DTMF-telephone is possible.
Attention:
the default gateway is 0.0.0.0 and the AlphaCom
PSTN2IP ML cannot communicate with the outside world.
Use this option only to program the username, password and
Ethernet settings. Restart the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML and set
dipswitch 2 to OFF.
Attention:
when the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML has been set to use
DHCP and dipswitch 2 is ON, then the AlphaCom PSTN2IP ML
still works with the default IP address 192.168.0.48 and web port
80!

OFF
Access to the programming is blocked entirely. If you try to access
the web server a screen will appear with a message „it is not
possible to access this device‟. This is the safest option.
ON
Access the programming using the programmed username and
password.

Dipswitch 4 should be set to OFF at all times. Only set to ON if
this is requested by the helpdesk!.
