3 - SAFETY NORMS
3.1 SAFE USE
Read the use and maintenance manual carefully before proceeding with start up operations, the use and
maintenance of the machinery.
The manufacturer declines responsibilities for any damages caused to people, animals or objects due to non-
observance of the safety norms.
It is absolutely forbidden to use the machine for a different use than the one described in this manual.
Do not touch moving parts !
For transportation on the road, the machine and its accessories must have appropriate signs and protections.
It is absolutely forbidden to drive the tractor without a special driving licence. Persons who are inexperienced or in
compromised health conditions cannot drive such vehicle.
Make sure you examine the stickers displayed on the machine and to respect their indications. Safety stickers must
always be well evidenced: they must be kept clean and are to be replaced when illegible (they can be ordered from
authorized dealers).
The safety distance from the machine in operation or with the rotor in rotation is of 80 meters.
During operation, do not allow people or animals to approach this range; turf and stones can be thrown out
by the machine.
It is absolutely forbidden to work in the area between the tractor and the machine operating the external
commands of the hydraulic hoisting unit.
Remain seated on the driver seat of the tractor; dismount only when the power unit of the tractor is disconnected and
the parking brake of the tractor is pulled up.
During intermissions disconnect the power unit, turn off the motor, support the machine onto the ground and pull up
the parking brake of the tractor.
Do not work without safety protection.
Do not work on terrain or in places that could jeopardize the stability of the machine.
Make sure you know the area in which you are working. Never operate in an area with obstacles such as stones,
sticks or tree roots as these could damage the integrity of the machine.
For transportation on the road, always use the caution or danger signs.
When driving in normal roads, respect the rules of that particular country. It is important to remember that street
conditions, braking ability and direction are influenced by the weight of the machine applied to the lifter of the tractor;
centrifugal force should also to be taken into consideration when taking turns since it moves the machine’s
barycentre.
