5 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
5.1 REGULATION OF WORKING DEPTH
Lift machine from the ground and check the
height of cut. Adjust machine with the lifter ;
make sure that the machine is in a horizontal
position, or slightly higher at the front, to facilitate entry
of material.
For a correct use of the machine, the blades should work at
a height of at least 2,5 cm from the ground. It is possible to
adjust the height of the cut by regulating the skids on the
back roller or on the connecting rod of point three of the
tractor. The more the machine is kept up the ground, the
less is the wear and tear of the blades and the less is the
power absorption.
a) Skids adjustment:
unscrew the bolts fixing the skids to the sides of the
shredders, adjust the skids to the chosen height and
screw again.
b) Roller adjustment:
unscrew the fixing bolts of the roller, adjust the roller to
the chosen height and screw again
c) Three point connecting rod adjustment:
to lengthen or to shorten threed point connecting rod of
the tractor, adjust the height and position the machine
parallel to the ground.
HAMMERS- BLADES
The blades that come with the machine can work on grounds with normal characteristics. Check daily the state and
condition of blades. If one of them should accidentally bend or break, it must be immediately replaced by a new one.
The new blade must be placed in the same position as the previous one. In case more blades are being replaced, it is
recommended to replace one blade at a time to avoid making mistakes when positioning the new ones. The normal
wear and tear (rather fast on soils or when keeping machine too low into the ground) and collision with obstacles,
could result to twisting of blades or cracks in the blades or hammers. These could:
-
increase vibrations which would cause mechanical damage to machine
-
worsen quality of work
-
break totally or partially the blades risking blade fragments thrown at high speed.
Partial replacements of hammer blades must always be done in couples, one hammer blade and the
one opposite to it.
