Operating Instructions
6.1. Introduction
This chapter describes in detail the operating instructions of the Accent XL System.
Specific treatment parameters and information concerning the therapeutic
applications of the system are provided in the clinical guide.

This system may only be operated by a licensed practitioner.

Improper use or adjustment of this system may invalidate the Accent XL
service warranty agreement. Please contact your authorized Alma Lasers
distributor before attempting to use the system in any manner other than
those specified in this manual.
6.2. Prepare the System for Operation
To prepare the system for operation:
1. Connect the system to the AC mains power.
2. Ensure that the handpieces are connected.
3. Insert the key into the keyswitch.
6.3. Operating the System
To operate the system:
1. Turn on the system (see Section 6.4).
2. Select the handpiece (see Section 6.5).
3. Set the operating parameters (see Section 6.7).
4. Set the system to Ready mode (see Section 6.7.4).
5. Press the handpiece trigger or the footswitch to emit radiofrequency energy
(see Section 6.8).
