Hardware Setup

Installing the 1747-SDN Module In the Chassis

To install your module into the chassis:

Turn off the chassis power supply.

Select a slot for the module in the chassis. You may use any slot
except the leftmost slot, which is reserved for the SLC 500
processor.

Insert the module into the slot you have selected. Apply firm, even
pressure to seat the module in the chassis backplane connectors.

ATTENTION

Do not install the 1747-SDN Scanner Module with
the chassis power supply on. Installing the module
with the chassis power supply on may damage the
module.
