Configuring the SLC 500 Processor’s Communication Channels Using a DF1 Driver

The Configure Allen-Bradley DF1 Communications Device window
will open.

Select the serial communications port on your computer that you
wish to use (e.g., COM2).

Under the

Device

type, select

SLC-CH0/Micro/PanelView

If you do not use Auto-Configure, you must enter the channel 0
parameters. The default parameters are as follows:

Click on

TIP

If you connect an RS-232 cable between the
selected COM port on your PC and Channel 0 (the
RS-232 port) on your SLC 5/04, you can click on

Auto-Configure

to define your interface

parameters. We recommend that you use this
method.

1200 (SLC 5/04 default)
