Installing and Replacing Components

Chapter Objectives

This chapter shows how to install, replace or upgrade various
components of the PanelView Plus terminals. Most sections (except
for Communication Module, Product ID labels, Keypad Legend
Inserts, and the External Compact Flash Card) apply only to the 700 -
1500 terminals.

Precautions

Before installing or replacing any components, disconnect power
from the PanelView Plus terminal. During installation, take care not to
touch any of the exposed electronic components.

terminal before installing or replacing any
components. Failure to disconnect power may result
in electrical shock and/or damage to the terminal.

Work in a static free environment and wear a
properly grounded ESD wristband.
