Use these guidelines to configure a Cartesian coordinate system in the 

Coordinate System Properties

 dialog box. 

General tab 

On the 

General

 tab, select 

Cartesian

 as the coordinate system type. There are two 

Coordination Definitions

 available for a Cartesian coordinate system:
