2.1.3 Installing the camera with the junction box

1. Determine and acquire the best fasteners for securing the Junction box to mounting surface. The mounting hardware provided

is suitable for many surfaces.

2. Attach the drill template to the surface. Mark the location of the Junction box mounting screw holes. These holes are identified

with

on the template. If routing extension cables for the LAN, power, alarm devices, etc. through the mounting surface,

mark the location for that hole, too. If installing the box onto a wall, observe the orientation for TOP and BOTTOM orientation
markings inside the box and on the camera mounting base, and orient the drill template properly.

3. Drill holes in the mounting surface for the mounting screws and extension cables (if necessary).

4. Find the junction box seal in the camera box. Remove the protective paper from the back of the seal, and then apply the seal to

to the mounting surface side of the junction box.

5. Anchor the junction box to the mounting surface using the appropriate fasteners.
