4.6 Raising

This instruction is valid when raising the plate heat exchanger after delivery from Alfa Laval. Only use
a strap approved for the weight of the plate heat exchanger. Follow the principle of the instruction
below.

 

CAUTION

Risk of damage to equipment.

The hoist slings shall be long enough to be able to rotate the plate heat exchanger without
obstruction. Consider especially the space for the support column. Always be careful during the
raising procedure to avoid damage to the plate heat exchanger components.

Place two timber beams on the floor.

Lift the plate heat exchanger off the pallet
using hoist slings.

3

Place the plate heat exchanger on the timber
beams.

4

Place a hoist sling around one bolt on each
side.
