CAUTION Risk of damage to equipment.
Turning of the connections will damage the gaskets on the end plate and
cause leakage.
Fit the pipes so that no tension is transferred to the plate heat exchanger.
Nozzle loads are not permitted.
Pipes connected to the pressure plate and to the connection plates must allow
±1% of the distance from the connection to the frame plate (see the assembly
PHE drawing).
Connections in the pressure plate
It is important that the plate pack has been tightened to the correct A measure
(check against the PHE drawing) before the piping system is connected.
If necessary, adjust the A measure.
NOTE
If the A measure has to be adjusted, remove the pipes from the pressure
plate and the connections plate(s) so that the pressure plate and the
connection plate(s) are free to move along the carrying bar.
Applicable for 3A standards
Once the unit is in position and the feet have been properly adjusted, it is the
responsibility of the end user to seal around the feet with silicone or caulking
to fulfil 3A standard.
Required personnel
The installation and handling of the plate heat exchanger requires at least two
persons.
