Optional multi-party video conferencing (if licensed)
Using Microsoft-supported APIs, the solution enables users to conduct both
reservationless and scheduled conference calls (with call recording) from the Microsoft
Office Communicator 2005 software client.
Note:
Refer to your Microsoft documentation for additional information
about installing Microsoft Office Communicator/Live Communications Server 2005.
LCS integration
In a new network environment, a Windows Server 2003 (SP2 or greater) must be installed
and configured to host a Live Communications Server (2005).
If you are adding Live Communications Server 2005 to an existing network environment,
you must set up a relationship between the existing domain and the new Live
Communications Server sub-domain.
Note:
When installing Live Communications Server, you may enable the Archiving
Service. However, it is not required for My Teamwork/Live Communications Server
integration.
You will need to have the following installed on the same server:
•
Windows 2003 Active Directory
•
DNS Address (Domain Name Server)
•
Live Communications Server 2005 Standard Edition with SP1
Even though My Teamwork/Live Communications Server integration allows separate,
unique names for My Teamwork users and separate, unique names for Live
Communications Server users, it is recommended that you establish a naming convention
that can be used in both My Teamwork and in Live Communications Server for ease of use
and administration. The most common configuration is
<firstname>.<lastname>@<domain>.

Note:
It may be necessary for specific organizations to have unique naming
conventions.
