•
Each MLFR interface is identified by a bundle ID. Enter the ID for the interface in
the
Bundle ID
field. On applying, this will configure a MLFR bundle interface that
is identified by the bundle ID.
•
Associate a VRF to the MLFR bundle interface. Select the VRF to be associated
from the VRF list. The selected VRF is displayed in the
VRF Forwarding
field.
Click
Remove
to remove the selected VRF.
Note:
By default, all the interfaces are associated with the Default VRF.
•
Enter the description for the interface in the
Description
field.
•
Enter the Maximum Packet size or Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size in the
MTU
field.
The default MTU on a MLFR bundle interface is 1500.
•
Enter the IP address and the subnet mask of the MLFR bundle interface in the
IP
Address
and
Mask
field.
•
Enter the bundle identification (BID) name to the bundle interface in the
Bundle
Identification String [BID]
field. The bid name can be a maximum of 255
characters.
•
Enter the DLCI value in the
DLCI
field. This should be in the range 16-1007.
Data-link Connection Identifiers
- Frame Relay virtual circuits are identified
by DLCIs. These values are typically assigned by the Frame Relay service
provider. The DLCIs have a local significance which means that their values
are unique to the link. The system provides support for point-to-point FR
DLCIs only.
Step 3:
Configure the LMI (Local Management Interface) parameters in the
LMI
Configuration
table. LMI configuration is optional.
•
Select the LMI type from the
LMI Type
drop down list:
Auto Sense/ANSI/Q933A
.
LMI Auto Sense is activated by default (as the system acts as a DTE). The LMI
Auto Sense will be activated when the physical interface is up and LMI type is not
configured on that interface.
•
Enter the LMI Keep Alive interval in the
Keep Alive
field.
The default value is 10 seconds. The LMI keep alive value should typically be
equal to the corresponding interval at the switch.
•
Enter the polling interval value in the
Polling Interval
field. The default value is 6.
This is used to set the full status polling interval on a DTE interface.
•
Enter the DTE error threshold value in
Error Threshold
field. The default value is
3.
•
Enter the DTE monitored event count in the
Monitored Event Count
field. The
default value is 4.
