Version mismatch 

 

Proper  mail  traces  require  proper  version  management  since  primitives,  tasks  and  timers  can  change 
between software versions. When the binary configuration file is generated by RSX, the version that RSX 
was generated for is also written into the configuration file.  
When the trace file is parsed by the handset, the software version is read and compared against software 
version  of  the  handset  software.  Trace  is  allowed  if  the  software  versions  are  identical.  However,  if  the 
software versions are incompatible, then the trace option is set to off, and no trace is made. When the user 
opens *LOG* menu, a pop up will be shown, notifying the user that trace has been disabled due to version
