that is plumbed to the freshwater system located below the
forward facing passenger seat cushion. The sink is activated
by the Water Pressure breaker in the cabin DC panel. A fold-
ing footrest is mounted to the front of the rigging station and a
lockable storage compartment is below the seat. Two grab rails,
one to port and one forward of the passenger seat provide hand
holds for passengers.
Livewell and Cooler
A circulating livewell is located below the aft facing seat. The
livewell is supplied by a raw water circulating pump and drains
overboard. A stand pipe in the livewell controls the water level.
Refer to the Raw Water System chapter for additional infor-
mation on the livewell system. The livewell is insulated and
can be used as a cooler when the livewell is not in use. The
sink and livewell are drained by gravity to a thru-hull fitting in
the hull side above the waterline.
Tackle Lockers
A lockable tackle locker is built into the port side of the cock-
pit near the passenger seat.. It has four removable storage
drawers. Another lockable tackle/storage locker is located on
the starboard side near the helm. It has two drawers that can
be used for tackle and general storage.
Below Deck and Stern Fishbox
Cockpit Fishbox
A fishbox is located in the stern below the cockpit sole. Two
flush mounted twist latches secure the hatch when it is closed.
There is a strap that is normally secured to the rear lift cleat in
the fishbox that holds the hatch in the open position.
The fishbox is drained by a macerator pump located in the
bilge and activated by the Fishbox Macerator breaker/switch
at the helm. Make sure to monitor the water level in the fishbox
and turn the pump off as soon as pumping is complete. The
pump will be damaged if it is allowed to run dry for more than
20 seconds. The fishbox should be pumped out and cleaned
after each use. Refer to the Drainage Systems chapter for more
information on the fishbox drainage.
When the hatch is open, the fishbox can be removed to pro-
vide access to the stern bilge and the components mounted
there. To remove the fishbox, open the hatch and support it
with one hand while removing strap from the lift cleat. Care-
fully lower the hatch to the full open position. The hatch is
heavy and will damage the hinge and cockpit if you allow it to
drop. The fishbox is large and requires two people to lift it out
using the lift cleats. The drain hose is long enough to allow
the fishbox to be set on the cockpit along side the opening. Be
aware of the hose and try not to put strain on the hose or the
fittings as the fishbox is removed.
Transom Fishbox
Another insulated fishbox is located in the transom gunnel.
The fishbox is drained by gravity to an overboard thru-hull
fitting in the transom. It is accessed through two hatches in
the stern gunnel.
