Now lay the cable and connect the plug to the corresponding yellow connector of the
electronics box (R for right or L for left).
If you have to disconnect the plugs again, please do not pull on the cable under any
circumstances to avoid damage!
The arrangement of the helmet microphone
To suppress driving noise as effectively as possible,
a special "proximity capsule" is built into the helmet
microphone (PMM).
To take advantage of this technique, the micro-
phone should be placed centrally and as close as
possible in front of the mouth. For helmets with a lot
of space in front of the mouth, you should place the
microphone on an additional foam pad, etc.!
!
Position the microphone centrally and
as close as possible in front of the mouth.
Mark the chosen place for the microphone in the helmet
and thoroughly clean the padding in the area of the
adhesive points, then remove the protective paper on
the adhesive surface of the microphone and press it
firmly, may vary depending on version.
Now lay the cable and connect the plug to the blue
connector of the electronics box.
High-quality boom microphones (PBM) are available for
open helmets, see
accessories.
Since boom micro-
phones generally have the disadvantage that they
always have to be corrected when the helmet is put on,
we also recommend using the fixed microphone in
combination with an elastic microphone spiral cable for
flip-up helmets, see accessories.
You can lay this so that the elastic spiral makes the
connection between the moving parts of the helmet, fix
the spiral so that the cable is not squeezed when the
helmet is closed.
Accommodation and replacement of the battery
The battery is not permanently integrated, but connected to the electronics box via cable and
plug (red). This has several advantages for you:
Defective batteries can be easily replaced (do not pull the cable when disconnecting)
Empty batteries can be exchanged for charged batteries on tour
More powerful batteries can also be connected
No recycling problems as the battery can simply be disposed of separately.
