Setting the setpoint range
The ESR-NK is delivered in one of 4 versions according to the order:
Version Setpoint Actual value
1 (standard) 0(4) D 20mA 0(4) D 20mA
2 0(2) D 10V 0(2) D 10V
3 0(4) D 20mA 0(2) D 10V
4 0(2) D 10V 0(4) D 20mA
It is possible to change the version at a later stage. If a change is required,
please request separate retrofit instructions from our Service department
(see page 81).
On delivery, the position controller is pre-set to 4 D 20mA and/or 2 D 10V.
This setting offers the benefit that the position controller can detect a broken
wire in the setpoint line and report the fault via the fault message output to
the higher-level control system.
Setting the setpoint range 0 G 20mA and/or 0 G 10V
1. Switch off the operating voltage.
2. Press buttons SET and R .
3. Switch on the operating voltage while the but-
tons are pressed.
Setting the setpoint range 4 G 20mA and/or 2 G 10V
1. Switch off the operating voltage.
2. Press buttons L and SET .
3. Switch on the operating voltage while the but-
tons are pressed.
Determining the direction of action
Sliding switch 1 inv. in the OFF position
−
0(4)mA and/or 0(2)V = right end position
−
20mA and/or 10V = left end position
Sliding switch 1 inv. in the ON position
−
0(4)mA and/or 0(2)V = left end position
−
20mA and/or 10V = right end position
