36 Mass Spec Bench User Guide
To handle temperature alarms
The red LED on the front panel turns on and the alarm sounds when:
• The air flow to the Mass Spec Bench is restricted.
• The room temperature is above 35 °C (95 °F).
• If the red LED is lit:
• Open the access door to allow air to cool the pump.
• Check that both fans are turning and that air flow to the Mass Spec
Bench is not restricted.
You cannot turn off the alarm. It stops when the temperature returns to an
acceptable level.
C A U T I O N
The Mass Spec Bench must not recirculate hot air. Always position the back end of the
Mass Spec Bench where it can draw cool air.
