Restore the default IP address and turn off DHCP
To restore the factory default IP address and turn off DHCP:
1
Turn off the instrument.

While pressing and holding the
START
key, turn on the instrument. Hold the
START
until you hear two beeps (several seconds). The green
POWER
LED will
be the only front panel LED illuminated.

Turn off the instrument.

Power on the instrument a second time. The default IP is now enabled and
DHCP is turned off.
Restore default IP address for DHCP
If using DHCP to set the instrument IP address, you can restore the default IP
address and enable DHCP as follows:

Turn off the instrument.

STOP
key, turn on the instrument. Hold the
STOP
until you hear two beeps (several seconds). The green
POWER
LED will
be the only front panel LED illuminated.

Turn off the instrument.

Power on the instrument a second time. The default IP is now enabled and
DHCP is turned on.

N O T E
If the red FAULT LED blinks about once per second, the 35900 Series II is configured for
DHCP and the external computer (DHCP server) has not provided an IP address.
