Calibrating Probes

N2887A & N2888A Calibration and Deskew Procedure

Connecting the Probe for

Calibration

Connect the BNC (male) to SMA (male) adapter to the
deskew fixture on the connector (it does not matter which
connector you use).

Connect the 50

SMA terminator to the other connector on

the deskew fixture.

Connect the BNC side of the deskew fixture to the Cal Out
BNC on the Infiniium oscilloscope.

Connect either the N2887A or N2888A probe head to the
deskew fixture as shown in the

Figure 92

on the following

page (note: use the appropriate connector for either the
N2887A or N2888A model as shown on the following page).

Connect the InfiniiMax probe amplifier to an oscilloscope
channel.

Connect one of the leads from the probe head to the positive
terminal on the InfiniiMax probe amplifier. The lead you will
use depends on whether you are using the N2887A or
N2888A probe head:
