5.  Use the bottom cowl mounting bolts to keep the 

template secure. This will provide a consistent 
point of reference when marking and cutting the 
cowl.  

7.  Trace around the head of the engine being care-

ful to keep the template in the same location.  

8.  Mark the location of the air exit from fuse onto 

template. 

6. Mark 

“Cowl Side” 

on the top side of the tem-

plate. It is very important that the template does 
not change position when attached to the cowl.
