The IRQ and the address range for COM1, 2, 3, and 4 are fixed. Howev-
er, if you wish to disable the port or change these parameters later you
can do this in the system BIOS setup. The table below shows the settings
for the PCM-5865’s serial ports.
COM1 and COM2 are one set. You can exchange the address range and
interrupt level of COM1 for the address range and interrupt level of
COM2. After exchanging, COM1's address range is 2F8 ~ 2FF and its
interrupt level is IRQ3, COM2's address range is 3F8 ~ 3FF and its
interrupt level is IRQ4. COM3 and COM4 are another set. Their select-
able function is the same as the set of COM1 and COM2.

3.4.2 COM3/COM4 IRQ enable (J21)
COM3 and COM4 are designed to use IRQ10 and IRQ5 by default. If
you are using COM3 or COM4 with no need for interrupt, the IRQ of
COM3 or COM4 can be released to other peripherals by setting J21.
