ISASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect power supply cable for fan, from connector P5. Refer to
Figure 2
at page 11.
2. Remove shroud assembly from PA, held by eight 8-32x1/2” hex head screws.

1. Follow 8.2.1, steps 1 - 2.
3. Remove fan from shroud, held by six 1/4”-28x5/8” hex head bolts. Refer to
Figure 2
at page
11.
2. To replace the fan, reverse the above-mentioned process.

1. Disconnect
RF
input
from (J1). Refer to
Figure 4
at page 15.
2. Disconnect
the
main
AC supply from (J5).
3. Disconnect RF output from (J7).
4. Remove cover held by 10 latches. Refer to
Figure 2
at page 11.
5. Remove the waveguide flange from Power Module A3, held by six 6-32x3/8” socket cap
screws and two 6-32x3/8” hex head screws.
6. Remove the other end of the waveguide from the outside the SSPA, held by 12 screws.
7. To replace the Waveguide Arm, reverse the above-mentioned process.

EPLACEMENT

1. Follow 8.2.1, steps 1 - 2. Refer to
Figure 2
at page 11.
2. Follow 8.2.3, steps 1 - 4. Refer to
Figure 4
at page 15.
3. At the top of the power supply, remove DB-25 connector (part of wire harness).
4. At the top of the power supply, disconnect DC voltage wires from terminal block TB-2.
5. At the top of the power supply, disconnect AC voltage wires from terminal block TB-1 {pin
1= white (neutral), pin 2 = green (ground) and pin 3 = black (live)}.
6. From the shroud side remove the block (heatsink and the power supply) from PA, held by
twenty 8-32x5/8” socket cap screws. (
Note: The block is a heavy unit
).
7. To replace the Power Supply and heatsink, reverse the above-mentioned process.

5. From the side of RF Driver Module remove DB-9 connector (part of wire harness).
6. At the top of the driver module, disconnect DC voltage wires from TB-1.
7. Remove SMA connectors from the input and output co-ax cables of this module.
8. From the shroud side remove the block (heatsink and the driver module) from the PA, held
by twenty 8-32x5/8” socket cap screws. (
Note: The block is a heavy unit
).
9. To replace Driver Module and heatsink, reverse the above-mentioned process.
