Card Type

This field displays the type of module serviced by this slot 
number.

Port Tx Rate

This field displays the transmit (upstream) data rate on the 
selected module.

Port Rx Rate

This field displays the receive (downstream) data rate on the 
selected module.

Port Type

This option is used to set the Port Type to one of the 
following options:

• UNI (User-to-Network Interface)
• NNI  (Network-to-Network Interface)

Scrambler

This field displays whether scrambling between the PSM and 
the port of the corresponding access module is enabled or 
disabled.

Idle Cell Type

This option is used to set the Idle Cell Type to one of the 
following options:

• BELLCORE (Unassigned Cell)
• ITU (Invalid Cell)

Maximum VCCs

This option is used to set the maximum Virtual Channel 
Connections (VCCs) value to a number from 1 to 8000, or 
from 1 to 4096, depending on other settings. The sum of the 
current PVC, SVC, and SPVCs for this port cannot exceed 
this value.

Maximum VPCs

This option is used to set the maximum VPCs (Virtual Path 
Connections) value to a number from 1 to 256. The sum of 
the current Permanent Virtual Path (PVP), SVP, SPVPs for 
this port cannot exceed this value.

Maximum VPI Bits

This option is used to set the maximum Virtual Path 
Identifier (VPI) Bits value (usually to a number from 0 to 8).

Maximum VCI Bits

This option is used to set the maximum Virtual Channel 
Identifier (VCI) Bits value (usually to a number from 5 to 16).

Physical Address

This option is used to set and display the hexadecimal string 
Physical Address (often the ATM address) of the selected 
interface.

Neighbor Name

This option is used to set and display the Neighbor Name. 
The Neighbor Name identifies the remote (far-end) 
termination of the interface and is an alphanumeric string 
up to 25 characters in length.
If the neighbor system is manageable through SNMP and 
supports the object ifName, the value of this field must be 
identical with that of ifName for ifEntry of the lowest level 
physical interface for this port.
