Mounting the Enclosure

Use a maximum of a #10 screw to fit properly in the diameter of the mounting holes (see
). Make sure to leave a minimum clearance of 2 inches (5.1 centimeters) from the
hinges for opening the door. Complete the following steps to mount the enclosure:
1. Choose a vertical surface near an approved ground, but away from down spouts, perma
-
nent water sprinklers, or other water sources. The subscriber should have easy access
for testing.
2. Using the enclosure as a template and a carpenter’s level, mark the locations for the two
mounting holes on the mounting surface.
3. Pre-drill the marked locations and install fasteners or anchors appropriate to the
mounting surface (each anchor rated to 15 lbs minimum). The combined weight of the
ONT and the NID is 13.5 lbs.
4. Mount the GPON 452/454 to the side of the subscriber’s premise.
