1.3 Hazard and Conventional Symbols
The following Hazard symbols are used throughout this guide:
DANGER!
f
DANGER indicates a hazard with a high level of risk which, if not avoided, will result in death
or serious injury.
WARNING!

WARNING indicates a hazard with a medium level of risk which, if not avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.
CAUTION!
f
CAUTION indicates a hazard with a low level of risk which, if not avoided, could result in minor
or moderate injury. CAUTION can also be used to alert against unsafe practices associated
with events that could lead to personal injury.
NOTICE!

Notice call-outs indicate a potentially hazardous situation not related to personal injury, such
as messages related to property damage only.
