-ASC 2000 User's Guide

Printing A File

To print a text file, place the trackball pointer on the file's icon and drag it to the

Printer

icon. Release the file when it is directly on top of the icon. The icon

changes briefly, indicating that the file has been sent to the printer.

Exiting The Desktop

When you exit the desktop, any applications which are running are automatically
closed. You are then returned to the Login screen.

To exit the desktop, select File in the desktop menu bar. Choose Exit from the
menu. A message box will appear asking you to confirm the logout. Place the
trackball pointer on the OK box and click once. The login screen will then appear.

Logging Back Into The Desktop

To return to the desktop after you have exited, log back in at the login box. (The system
requires a login to gain access to the desktop.)

Place the trackball pointer on the Login box and type the account name assigned
by your system administrator. Place the trackball pointer on the Password box (or
simply press <ENTER>) and type your password. After you have entered your
password, press <ENTER> or click the Login button. (The string "ade" is the initial
login name and password which is set at the factory before shipment. Login names
and passwords may be changed by the system administrator. Refer to

System Maintenance Tasks As The System Administrator

for more details.)
